Tre amici sulla ventina cercano di essere all'altezza dei miti sulla mascolinità e delle aspettative della società degli uomini. La storia inizia quando Yngve e Anders vengono a sapere che Terje è stato ricoverato a forza in un ospedale psichiatrico per una psicosi da droga. In seguito a ciò Yngve e Anders si confrontano l'un l'altro, trovandosi emotivamente vicini per la prima volta e parlando d'amore, di sogni, di gioie e dolori personali. Decidono di tirare fuori Terje dalla clinica continuando il loro percorso di scoperta reciproca, nel corso del quale Anders rivela il suo lato omosessuale - uno shock e una liberazione al tempo stesso -, dando luogo ad ulteriori confessioni. Un film che cattura perfettamente l'affetto inespresso che esiste tra questi uomini moderni di una società moderna in cui non riescono ad adattarsi, e i modi goffi che trovano per esprimerlo. The story begins when Yngve and Anders get to know that Terje has been sent by force to a mental hospital because of a drugpsychosis. Triggered by that, Yngve and Anders confront each other finding themselves emotionally close for the first time, talking about love, dreams, joys and sorrows. They decide to save Terje from the clinic while going on in the process of mutual discovery during which Anders reveals his gay side - a shock and relief together - leading to further confessions. A film that perfectly captures the unspoken love that exists between these modern men in a modern society to which they can't manage to adjust, and the clumsy ways they find to express it.
