Qualche anno fa un grosso scandalo investì la polizia di Hong Kong: nella casa di un ricco playboy vennero trovate migliaia di fotografie di giovani uomini muscolosi in uniforme da poliziotto, alcuni nudi. Un'indagine rivelò che alcuni di essi erano veri poliziotti, altri erano modelli e prostituti. Da questo fatto di cronaca il regista Yonfan ha costruito una storia che unisce tra loro una pop star, un poliziotto e due gigolò. Jet è la più bella marchetta di Hong Kong: arrogante, freddo e sexy, tutti si innamorano di lui e lui non si innamora di nessuno. Finché non incontra Sam, poliziotto dal lato oscuro. Dopo quest'incontro Jet si trasforma in ciò che non è: un essere innocente, dolce e puro. E' il suo modo per intrappolare Sam, ma nella trappola cadrà lui stesso. Ciò che ne deriva è l'unione di yin e yang, come Hong Kong unisce la morale tradizionale cinese con i valori occidentali. Se si raggiunge l'armonia si avrà la felicità... altrimenti sarà la tragedia. Yonfan, prima di dedicarsi al cinema nel 1984, ha lavorato come fotografo di moda e ritrattista, pubblicando su riviste come Vogue e Harper's Bazar. Nel 1997 è stato nominato Cavaliere della Legion d'Onore della Repubblica Francese. A few years ago, thousands of photographs of muscular young men in police uniforms, some of them naked, were found in the home of a wealthy playboy. An investigation revealed that some of the men were indeed policemen, others were models and prostitutes. This incident was the inspiration for this story about a pop star, a policeman and two gigolos. Jet is the most handsome hustler in Hong Kong: arrogant, sexy, everyone falls in love with him but he falls in love with no one. Until he meets Sam, a policeman with a dark side. After this meeting, Jet changes himself in somebody he's not: innocent, sweet, pure. It's a way of setting a trap to catch Sam, but Jet falls into the trap himself. What comes out is the meeting of yin and yang, like Hong Kong mixes traditional Chinese ethics with Western values. If harmony can be achieved, happiness will result...if not, tragedy! |
