Ispirato da un pamphlet del 1896 ritrovato ad una fiera di campagna, Les Douches Fulgurantes presenta le tecniche di abluzione di Padre Knapp, il quale ci assicura che usando l'acqua nel modo giusto guariremo da ogni male, dal semplice mal di testa al soffio al cuore, dalle coliche al fegato all'avvelenamento. Inspired by a pamphlet dating from 1896 found at a country fair, Les Douches Fulgurantes presents Father Knapp spraying techniques. He assures us that using water in the right way will heal every ill, from simple headaches to heart murmurs, liver attacks and poisoning. |

Handy Man esamina la finestra come luogo di voyeurismo e sorveglianza. Emission trae origine da tre performances ideate dal regista tra il 1988 e il 1991 su sesso, romanticismo e comunicazione tecnologica. Il video elaborato su questi temi esplora la regressione dell'individuo ai suoi più primitivi istinti, particolarmente di fronte a problemi di linguaggio e comunicazione. Con la speranza ultima - in ogni caso - di 'continuare a parlare' e restare umani. Emission found its origin in three performances the author wrote between 1988 and 1991 about sex, romance and communication technologies. The videotape elaborated upon these themes explores the regression of the individual to its most primitive istincts, particularly when faced with difficulties of language and communication, with the ultimate hope to 'keep talking' and remain human. |
